End of Summer Women’s Outdoor Adventure Day 🥾

Join us for one last adventure day before summer ends! This women's-only event will be full of nature, relaxation, and fun group activities. We're going to be doing a guided hike to a waterfall, a guided horse ride, kayaking on the Hiwassee River, and swimming/relaxing on the riverfront. Light breakfast, coffee, and lunch is included!
This retreat is ideal for women aged 21+ who love spending time outdoors, enjoy meeting like-minded women, and are open to new adventures. Joining strangers on a group event may seem intimidating… we get it! Rest assured you’ll leave this event feeling refreshed, with new connections, and ready to embrace a new season. All you do is show up and we take care of the rest!

What’s included:

✅ Guided Horse Ride - One hour guided horse ride on the Hiwassee Acres property

✅ Swimming/Relaxing - Opportunity to swim or relax at the riverfront between activities
✅ Optional - There is also a pickleball court available if anyone wishes to play, and farm animals on site such as goats, sheep, a pig & cow, and a mini donkey.

📍 Hiwassee Acres - We'll be at an incredible property in Charleston, TN! It's located 50 minutes north of Chattanooga & the perfect area for outdoor activities. Hiwassee Acres is made up of 225 acres of scenic land including 1 mile on the Hiwassee River. They also host overnight guests, weddings, conferences and retreats.

Hope is a full-time hiking tour guide in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her husband Ryan. Since 2018, they have led hundreds of families, couples, friend groups and solo travelers around Southeast Tennessee’s most majestic waterfalls + mountain views. Hope has also been volunteering to lead women's group hikes locally for the past 3 years. When she's not working, she's inspiring both locals and travelers alike to explore all that Chattanooga has to offer.

What all is included?
A light breakfast, catered lunch, and drinks (coffee/tea/water) are included, as well as all activities: guided waterfall hike led by a professional guide, guided 1-hour horse ride, kayaking on the river (equipment provided), swimming/relaxing at the river.
What’s NOT included?
Transportation to Hiwassee Acres (you must have your own way to get there) and towels.
What’s the cancellation policy?
You may receive a 100% full refund up to 48 hours before the event (by September 5th). Within the 48 hour window, you may receive a 50% refund. There will be no refunds once the event has started. We understand things come up but please only sign up if you are sure you can make it on September 7th (Sunday) and double check the date before booking.What if the weather is predicting rain/storms that day?
In the event of a hazardous or rainy weather forecast, this event may be rescheduled to a future date or cancelled if the conditions are deemed unfavorable. A weather cancellation will receive a 100% refund. If you cannot make the rescheduled date, a 100% refund will be given. All of the activities will be happening outdoors with water + animals involved, and safety is our top priority.Do I need to pay the full payment up front?
Yes, the full payment is due at time of booking and includes a small processing fee ($4.48) if paying with credit card. You can choose to pay securely with your bank account or contact me directly to pay with Venmo or Cashapp.
Will there be any discounts available?
If money is the only thing holding you back, please contact us and we will work something out! If you’ve booked an Experience Chattanooga tour with us before, you can contact us for a 10% off returning guest discount.
Do I have to do EVERYTHING on the itinerary?
No, you can choose whatever activities suit you best! We will not make you participate in anything you don’t want to do. For those who choose not to do an activity, you will have free time to explore Hiwassee Acres! Please note: the price is the same whether you participate in an activity or not.
What age group is this for?
Women aged 21+ and up are welcome! Women of ALL ages with a love of the outdoors and meeting new people are encouraged to come. Hope is 30 years old and Kathi (host of Hiwassee Acres) is in her 50’s. Additionally, our event volunteer is in her 40’s. We’d love to have you.
Are dogs allowed? What about kids?
No, due to the horses & farm animals on site, pets are not allowed. This is an adults-only event.
How many women will be there?
This event is limited to 10 women. If the event sells out, we may consider adding an additional date.
I’m nervous to come alone, are solo travelers welcome?
Yes of course! Our goal is to make you feel welcomed and connected while enjoying activities you love in a beautiful setting. Most women will be coming solo too!
What is the fitness level of the activities?
The waterfall hiking trail is rated as moderate, with ~300ft elevation gain and 1.2 miles of hiking round trip. The trail is rocky and has some elevation that may be on the challenging side for beginners. If you choose to kayak, the river in front of Hiwassee Acres is flat water paddling with no swift currents and great for beginners. A maximum weight for the horse ride is 230 lbs. Please note you will be required to sign a waiver to participate in all activities.
Can you accommodate food restrictions / allergies?
Yes, we will absolutely make sure you are taken care of. We will send a questionnaire after booking for dietary limitations/preferences. All meals will be on the nourishing/healthy side.
What should I bring?
Active clothing for hiking (shorts, t-shirt, sneakers or hiking shoes), a change of clothes, swimsuit, towel, water shoes for swimming/river time, sunscreen, and close-toed shoes/pants or jeans for the horse ride.
